CRSI has developed a unique capstone course for use by Professors to incorporate into their curriculum. Course components will enable your students to fully understand the economical design of a low-rise reinforced concrete building. This project is intended for Senior- and Graduate-level students for the upcoming academic year.

A main goal of this 16-week course is for students to acquire an understanding of the different design phases that occur when working in an engineering office: schematic, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Provided with architectural drawings of an actual low-rise building, the students, working in groups, will develop the necessary documentation required for construction of the building.

CRSI's capstone course provides Educators with comprehensive materials on the design and detailing of low-rise reinforced concrete buildings.

Enrollment in the capstone course for the Design and Detailing of Low-Rise Reinforced Concrete Buildings is password protected and is available to Educators only. For more information on the course and enrollment, please contact Dr. David Fanella at
