Seismic Design of SRC Buildings in Accordance with ACI 318-19
This webinar series will provide an overview of the design and detailing requirements for steel reinforced concrete buildings subjected to earthquake effects in accordance with the 2019 edition of ACI 318 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete. The information will be taken primarily from the CRSI publication Seismic Design Guide for Steel Reinforced Concrete Buildings, published in 2024.
Five, 2-hour webinars, each from Noon – 2 pm (Pacific), will cover the design and detailing of the structural members in cast-in-place concrete buildings with nonprestressed reinforcement assigned to Seismic Design Categories B through F:
- Session 1: Bearing wall and building frame systems
- Session 2: Moment-resisting frames
- Session 3: Dual systems and Members not designated as part of the seismic force-resisting system
- Session 4: Diaphragms
- Session 5: Foundations
Step-by-step design procedures, design aids, guidelines for improved constructability, and worked-out examples are provided in each session along with a summary of the major changes that occurred from the 2014 to the 2019 edition of ACI 318.
Each registered attendee will receive 10-hours of continuing education credit (.10 CEU/10 PDH) upon completion of all sessions and the short quiz that follows each presentation.
